now search for answers within the occult. - Italy has an estimated 100,000 (yes one hundred thousand) full-
time witches and warlocks, nearly three times the number of
Catholic priests in Italy. - The northern city of Turin (Torino, from the 2006 winter
Olympics) is a global center for occultism. - The northern provinces of Umbria, Trentino, Lombardy, and
Emilia-Romagna have less than 0.1% evangelical population. - The northeastern Veneto Region has less thann 0.046%
evangelical population. - Italy's attrition rate is very high, with only 10% of all
missionaries that go to Italy returning for a second term.
We know that the statistics are startling. It is
difficult to believe that such a religious nation
could be so lost. But we must remember that it is
not our religious orientation or our denomination
that saves us. No, we are not saved by church
membership, baptism, communion, penance,
tithing, or any other sacrament and man made
religious requirement. The only thing that is
required for salvation is faith, faith in Jesus Christ
and who He is. Having faith in some ominous
being that a person may call 'god' doesn't cut it.
In Matthew 7:21 Jesus says, "Not everyone who
says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom
of heaven". The requirements for salvation are
not found in serving the "church" or doing "good"
things as some might teach, but simply in
believing in the finished work of Jesus Christ!
